This week early storms and high winds made life difficult during Saturday's monthly medals.
The event was sponsored by Ron Evans Painting and it was amazing that there were those who played to and below their handicaps.
The winner of the stoke event in A grade was Ian Downey with 70 nett. He counted out Steve Hall who also took out the best scratch score with 72.
Downey, Hall, Dave Titcume and Damien Marjoram will play off for the medal next month.
The best nett score of the day came out of B grade when Brian Bourke recorded a 69 nett.
His score was all the more meritorious considering that he was one of the first to hit off and had to contend with heavy intermittent showers that started to clear later in the day.
Bourke also scored the best scratch score with 79 and picked up the B grade medal.
Runner up to Bourke was another early morning golfer in Greg Jackson who finished with 70 nett.
Winner of C grade and also the medal was Mick Stafford on 70 nett from Bob Charlton on 74 who also had the best scratch score with 94.
Nearest to the pin vouchers went to Max Nightingale, Jeff Geddes, Brad Gordon, Dave Titcume and Max McCann.
