The teams met on Sunday, October 20, at Sydney Olympic Park, which was transformed into a Lions den for the day.
They took a commanding 3-0 lead into half time before running out winners by five goals. The team will go on to meet Perth in next round.
Unfortunately the outcome was not so good for Abigail Wilson's NSW Pride squad, which went down 2-7 to HC Melbourne.
