Riding on the wave of success he found at Shoal Bay Country Club in July, Pete Murray is set to do it all again when he returns early in the new year. Since undergoing a $6 million revamp the country club has hosted a wide range of headlining acts including Thirsty Merc, the Radiators, James Blundell and Daryl Braithwaite. But it was Murray who set the club’s record for the quickest selling show. “It’s exciting to have him back,” the country club’s marketing manager, Peter Lazarus, said. Murray will bring his sun-soaked coastal holiday tour, PM3 Summer Sessions, to Shoal Bay Country Club on Friday, January 11. Together, the trio will play tracks from Murray’s critically acclaimed LP Camacho as well as fan favourites spanning throughout the Byron Bay singer-songwriter’s career.  Murray said he is pumped to hit the road and play acoustic versions of his popular songs. “I love acoustic tours as it’s always great to strip songs back to their bare bones and do cool versions of them,” he said. “This tour is going to be a lot of fun and will also be a three piece tour, something I have never done before.” Tickets to see Murray at Shoal Bay Country Club in January cost $48. Door to the show will open at 5.30pm. A yet to be named support act will perform at 6pm, before Murray hits the stage at 7.30pm.
