The Lithgow axe-man is known for his incredible talent when it comes to chopping and sawing wood and he's set to take the virtual stage on Sunday, November 15.
For the first time in history, thanks to COVID-19, the 2020 Stihl Timbersports Australian Championships will be held virtually.
The competitions would usually be held in iconic locations with De Losa recently visiting the Gold Coast and St Kilda Foreshore with plenty of fans to cheer him on.
But with continued border closures and pandemic restrictions De Losa, along with Australia's other top athletes will compete from the comfort of their own backyards.
"It'll be interesting because there is going to be four different locations for competitors," De Losa said.
"I've got my area here where I train and the other competitors will have a similar set up in Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania," he said.
De Losa said there would be three competitors in each state where each will compete in six disciplines.
"We do three chopping and three sawing disciplines and we will have an official at each venue and an official timer," he said.
All events will be filmed and times will be played back with official times given by a judge.
"Everything will be pieced together and made into a series," De Losa said.
He said it would be slightly different to a competition he was used to.
"...because it's going to be one competitor at a time. We're used to going two competitors at a time, also you won't know what your position is," he said.
De Losa said when he had a competitor he could get a feel whether he was ahead or behind.
"You're not going to know where you are or how you're travelling so I suppose the aim is to attack every event," he said.
He said leading up to the event he had got back into some training after a well-deserved COVID-break.
"I had a few months where I just didn't do any training and just had a bit of a break to recuperate but I've been back into a bit of light training and starting to get everything happening," he said.
"I think the best training you can do is actually simulate the events that you're going to be competing in. I also do some light gym work with Rod Hawkins, who's a personal trainer in Lithgow and I do some swimming."
De Losa would usually have other events such as the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Adelaide Show and Melbourne Show to keep him fresh and competition ready but with most cancelled, the Stihl Timbersports was his only event for 2020.
"I'm just really looking forward to having a competition before the year's out because we've had such a long period without competition," he said.
"Thanks to Stihl for very much getting it organised and making it happen for us this year."
The Stihl Timbersports virtual Australian championships live stream will air on the Stihl Timbersports Facebook page and YouTube channel at 8pm on November 15.
