Among the talent on show was local artist Jenny Sewell.
Ms Sewell has been involved in the Portland Art Show for the past six years and said she loved coming along and seeing how the show grows each year.
"I love the atmosphere, the venue and how everyone is able to show off their creations," she said.
Ms Sewell entered three works into the art show and based them around scenes from Portland to tie in with the show's theme '2020 Vision'.

"I used scenes from Portland for my inspiration.
"I gained inspiration from the arch windows at The Foundations, the cement works and I was also inspired by a lolly shop owned by Mrs Groves," she said.
She said she loved doing art because it was like an escape from reality.
"What I love about art is the escapism," she said.
Ms Sewell said her favourite artist was Umberto Boccino, an Italian futurist.
"I like his style and that's the style I'm following, using oil pastels and layering," she said.
