Ms Murdoch has created a 'Community Connections' initiative with the aim to support her community and connect those who are isolated, lonely and vulnerable.
"That's my aim, knowing so many struggle emotionally with mental health issues, disabilities and so much more," she said.
Ms Murdoch is focused on providing an all-inclusive support network in a safe space.
"It's a place for anyone within the community needing a social outlet to connect with others.
"They can come for a cuppa and a chat and participate in creative craft activities all while being able to vent about any concerns they may have and be able to gain support, confidence and purpose," she said.
She said in the past she had been supported by other local services who allowed her access to their space to provide her services but she needed somewhere more permanent.
"I'm very grateful to those who have helped me with my progress but I need to maintain a more permanent arrangement," she said.
Ms Murdoch will be running her services at 'The Old School' at 5 Albert Street, Lithgow.
"I began researching my options and got some information from one of my members and I was recently informed the arrangement I was looking for was to come true," she said.
