Why not take part in Lithgow's very own talent quest which kicked off on Wednesday, March 4 at Club Lithgow.
Whether you're good at singing, dancing or something completely random, see if you've got what it takes to go all the way and be part of the CentWest Star Search which will run every Wednesday from 6pm through to May 26.
Star Search is an initiative between Club Lithgow and CentWest Total Entertainment and Events.
According to organiser Sharron Bowman there will six to eight contestants every week with two winners who will receive prize money.
"We will then have two semi finals and a grand final," she said.
Ms Bowman said there had been 40 entries so far and she urged more people to get involved.
"The competition is open to anyone and everyone with $10,000 in total prize money to be won," she said.
The grand final prizes include $3000 for first place, $2000 for second and $1000 for third.
She said anyone from all ages, amateurs and professionals were welcome to enter.
"Singers, dancers, magicians, groups, comedians. Absolutely anyone - the reason being it has to be entertaining and we want to get people coming from in and out of town," she said.

Ms Bowman said there had also been a few band entries so there would be potential for a 'Battle of the Bands' night.
She said the reason behind the talent quest was because she wanted to do something different for the people of Lithgow.
"Initially I thought about doing a karaoke night because everyone loves to sing, especially young people so I thought why don't we do a star search?" she said.
Ms Bowman said the competition was not about winning but rather a platform for young people to get up and have a go.
"I genuinely do want the community to come along, have a good time, either enter the competition or be a judge in the audience," she said.
The audience will get the ability to vote for their favourite acts which will be taken into consideration according to Ms Bowman.
"It's a way of getting everyone involved. We will however have one guest judge a week who will be local musicians," she said.
Local musicians such as Kell, Richard West, Dave Webb and Courtney Clarke will all be making an appearance sometime throughout the competition.
"There will also be a professional judge coming along to the semi final and a celebrity judge [to be announced] at the grand final," Ms Bowman said.
She said a judge who is in the industry and has a profile will be able to determine a winner.
Ms Bowman also wanted to thank Club Lithgow general manager Karren Jamieson for her support in holding the event.
