The popular couple moved to Lithgow from Werris Creek in the late 70s when Geoff was transferred with his work on the railway.
Both loved their golf and with Lithgow's sporting scene it was the perfect place for them to settle down and raise their family.
Both have been hard working members who have given much of their time working for the betterment of the golf club.
Geoff has been the club president for many decades while Sue has also held office on the board and the women's committee.
On arriving in Lithgow Sue immediately made an impact and is the most successful golfer that the club boasts.
After joining in 1979, Sue has amassed 24 women championships.
Her name adorns the majority of the club's honour boards and along with her singles titles, she has also won 21 mixed and 18 women's foursome titles.
Her name is also recorded on the honour board for her three hole in ones.
Sue's golfing prowess is also synonymous throughout the Blue Mountains where she has captured a host of titles along with being an integral member of the victorious Lithgow women's pennant teams over the years.
Although Geoff has not attained the same lofty golfing honours as Sue, his love for golf is such that he has been one of the hardest workers for the club for many years and it is largely due to his outstanding efforts that the club is in such a good state.
The club, members and Lithgow sporting fraternity in general would like to wish Geoff and Sue all the best in the next stage of their lives and the Lithgow Club will always have the welcome sign out for the Brooks for anytime that they pass our way.
