Each year the organisation holds its annual morning tea at the Cullen Bullen Progress Hall.
On Monday, October 14, more than 50 people attended the function with a selection of home-cooked tasty treats for everyone to enjoy.
Portland Red Cross vice president Agnes Tilley said special guests at this year's morning tea were Bathurst MP Paul Toole and Lithgow Councillor Maree Statham.
"Paul's a regular at many of our events and we can't thank him enough for his time. He drew the raffles, made a speech and ensured he stopped at every table to say hello," Agnes said.
"It was nice to see guests come from the Hazelbrook-Woodford Red Cross as well as the Rylstone Red Cross.
"And to everyone who spent time in the kitchen cooking for the event, we can't thank them enough."
Agnes said a cheque for $227 will be presented to the Hands on Program at Portland's Tabulam Cottage old age home as a result of the successful raffle held on the day.
