Lithgow Workies Wolves celebrated a strong season at the club's annual presentation night at the Lithgow Workies on Saturday, September 21.

Around 130 guests including sponsors, committee members, players, family and friends showed up to celebrate a fantastic season for the Workies Wolves RLFC in 2019.
Wolves President Anthony Brown was the emcee for the evening. He said a huge thanks to the sponsors for their continued support.
"We appreciated their sponsorship which really helps to sustain the club, with increasing costs every year and without that generosity our club doesn't succeed or get us on the paddock," he said.
Brown also thanked the committee and coaches for an outstanding season:
- Premier League: Graeme Osborne,
- First Division Captain/Coach: Jimmy Reinhardt,
- Under 18's: Kyle Egan,
- Opens League Tag: John Leggy and
- Under 18 League Tag: Charlie Healey.
"What a season it was, from the sand dunes in Bondi at the start of the pre-season to making the finals in four out of five grades, with first division taking out the grand final undefeated premiers, the premier grade getting beaten in the second week of the semis to finish a commendable fourth after being last after round six," he said.
"The open league tag finishing the regular season in fourth position but bowing out in the first semi, the under 18's league tag side finishing fifth and making it to the second round of the semis before bowing out in what what was a magnificent effort for their first season.
"Our under 18's boys had a tough year but they hung on and played some great footy and learnt a great deal form the older players."
Shane Wade from the Workies Club thanked the Wolves for their support throughout the year and said the Workies Club was very happy with how the year progressed.
"I need to thank the Wolves committee for there tireless efforts," he said.
Players were recognised for their representatives achievements throughout the year, with Wolves Corey Willmott, Greg Behan (as captain), Coddy Godden, Keelan Bresac and Shannon Legge all being recognised.
Graeme Osborne was also recognised for his back to back wins as coach of the Group 10 representative side.
Other group 10 achievements included Jake Gale being named Group 10 player of the year for first division, Jimmy Reinhardt received Group 10 first division coach of the year and Greg Alderson was two points off winning player of the year in the premier league and came third overall.
Coaches then handed out the awards for players in their teams.
- Under 18's League Tag - Courtney Rowe
- Open League Tag - Ash Oldfield
- Under 18's - Riley Gillispie
- First Division - Nick Miller
- Premier League - Keelan Bresac
Other awards were handed out to:
- Highest Points Scorer - Hayden Cornwell
- Rookie of the Year - Brock Egan
- Most Improved Player of the Year- Sam Rushworth
Players Player Awards were then announced:
- Under 18's League Tag - Kyra and Kallan Phillips
- Opens League Tag - Kirsty Willmott
- Under 18's - Kyle Sharp
- First Division - Llyton Lothian
- Premier Grade - Corey Willmott
Best and Fairest Awards were handed out:
- Under 18's League Tag - Beth Newsome
- Open League Tag - Tiffany Willmott
- Under 18's - Brock Egan
- First Division - Hayden Cornwell
- Premier Grade - Corey Willmott
The major awards of the night went to Greg Alderson who took home Player of the Year for his superb year of football. Anthony Brown received Club Person of the Year.
Two life member awards were handed out to Corey Willmott and Graeme Osborne for outstanding years of service to the club. Former players and life members Johnny Van Veen and Corey Strickland were on hand to present the awards.
Wolves AGM
The Lithgow Workies will host their AGM on Sunday, October 27 at 11am at the Lithgow Workies Club, with all positions vacant.
Applicants for coaches in all five grades for the 2020 season are also now open and will close by Friday, October 25.
