The first Workies Women’s Bowling Club Championship for 2019 went to the Fours team, made up of Cheryl Schram, Cynthia Thornton, Robyn Brown and Deidre Stubbs.

They defeated Lesley Townsend, Judy Kennedy, Ellen Staines and Gail Coates 29-15 .
Schram’s team got off to a flying start to lead 17-1 on the 7th end before Townsend’s team started to play catch up bowls and scored nine shots in the next five ends, but it was Schram’s team who combined beautifully to play top bowls to go on and win comfortably to be the Fours champions for 2019.
