On Thursday, February 14, the final of Western District Senior Fours was played at Oberon in overcast but sunny conditions, where jackets were the order of the day (on-off).

Oberon’s new artificial green looked a picture, which would of suited the Lithgow Workman’s Valley teams as their greens are the same.
This game was tight as it seesawed between both teams, the wind wasn’t there to contend with, bowls were short on both sides.
On the 17th end Wendy put in a lovely bowl to be on the jack but the game wasn’t over with the score showing 16-15 but on the last end Sue drew the shot and won the game 17-15.
Lithgow Workmen’s were the winners at Oberon, taking out the winners and runners-up spots.
Congratulations to Sue Metcalf (skip), Ruth Harries, Irene Piasovili and Wendy Constable, commiserations Cheryl Schram (skip), Lesley Townsend, Cynthia Thornton and Ellen Staines.
