Lithgow Hotel secured the Lithgow Senior Cricket first grade title for the 2017-2018 season.
The Hotel team opened the batting at Conran Oval at Lithgow on Saturday, March 17, and it was clear early on it was going to be a fight for the win. Opening batsman Michael Hutchinson fell for eight, bowled by Chris Giugni.

Captain Jon Cronin top-scored for the team with 34, with good knocks from Mikk Mlinaric (29), Matt McManus (29*) and Brendan Horner (20).
The team finished on 6/158, with Valley bowlers Warren Stevens and Juzen Takahira claiming two wickets each and Aron Crowder and Giugni each taking one.
In reply, Joel Gurney dug in for Valley, posting 67 before he was caught out. With his dismissal, the wickets fell quickly.
For Lithgow Hotel, Cronin took 2/13, while Clint Rochester, McManus and Nick Taylor all took one wicket.
Michael Hutchinson stole the show.
After taking opening batsman Warren Steven’s wicket for 11 runs, he came back in to the mix in the late stages and decimated the lower order, including a hat-trick to end the game.
The Valley team finished all out for 130, handing the Seniors title to Hotel.
