Lithgow artist Kristina Swoboda said it felt "pretty damn good" to have her artwork finished and on display.

"It took me a really long time but something that's going to be there forever, I'm really glad I finished it," she said.

The outer space artwork is situated on the western wall of the Lithgow Hotel and features bursts of colour and a cat astronaut.
"It is a bit different," Ms Swoboda said with a chuckle.
"I mostly just wanted to do something a bit whimsical for the town.
"My brother and my mum and I, we all love cats, we all have like two or three of our own and I just wanted to do something colourful."
The breakfast chef at the Tin Shed cafe received the opportunity to contribute to the Tidy Towns Laneways Project after her talents were recognised at the Lithgow Skulls Exhibition.
Her skull sculpture received one of the highest bids at auction.
She gave a big thank you to Lithgow Tidy Towns for the opportunity to express her artistic talents in this way.
