Lithgow artist Ludwina Roebuck has the answers and her finished product has been put on display for all to enjoy at the top of Main Street.
The eye-catching flowers will accompany Mrs Roebuck’s bright decorative birdhouses which were installed near Pioneer Park early last year.
Mrs Roebuck said she was nervous bringing her ideas to life but is satisfied with the final result.
"To actually see it up there is kind of ‘oh my goodness’ but I'm very happy with how it has worked," she said.
The work is largely made of recycled materials including Venetian blinds and circular saws. Mrs Roebuck said her excitement grows when she comes across rubbish which she can use to make a new creation.
"We waste so much in today's society that it's a real concern. I must say it kind of upsets me when I see all these things being thrown out… I look at it differently I suppose."
Mrs Roebuck thanked Lithgow Tidy Towns for the opportunity to display her work.
"Sculpture is an area I've just recently gone into so it's a bit out of my comfort zone and Tidy Towns have allowed me to produce all this stuff... so it's been fantastic having this support."
