Member for Bathurst Paul Toole made the announcement that construction had started on a new helipad for Lithgow Hospital earlier this month.
"The new helipad is part of a $200,000 upgrade which will ensure the community continues to have access to world class health care," Mr Toole said.
"Construction of the new helipad is expected to take eight weeks and I am looking forward to seeing it completed and servicing our community in the coming months."
