Everyone's an expert, from self righteous sections of the media to political opponents to social media chatterers to the rabble on the streets. Our leaders are operating on the best professional advice and within limited resources and the ceaseless intrusion by they-who-know- better doesn't help in a gloomy situation.
Case in point Anthony Albanese and faithful sidekick Jim Cameron and media mouth Alan Jones who sound like a broken record. It's a classic damned if you do and damned if you don't situation.

SLIM pickings for traffic cops on our roads at present with traffic down to a trickle. But the mercenary now-unmarked mobile speed cameras are doing their bit for NSW revenue.
A local correspondent this week copped a $90 fine for just three kilometres over the speed limit.
That's not road safety, it's highway robbery. No wonder NSW Labor is pushing to abolish a system it rightly says is just a cynical cash grab.

But you can't argue with the need for what appears to be red light cameras newly installed at Dunns Corner. Too many motorists, particularly semi trailers, push their luck there on a daily basis.
Winter misery

Our early Christmas

The election, already delayed by a year, was due in September but is now deferred again, this time to December. All due to that pesky pandemic.
Our present Councillors will be due for long service leave.
