Between Friday, March 19 and Tuesday, March 23 the Lithgow region received over 143.6 millilitres of rain.
That was enough rain to cause flooding in multiple areas around the region, with multiple callouts online for sandbags to stop flooding in houses.
Kathy Grimshaw reached out and showed the Lithgow Mercury just what the people of Glen Davis were dealing with.
"We can't get out as the only bridge in and out of town in under water and the emergency exit has been locked as it is on private property," she said.
Having lived in Glen Davis since 2003, Kathy was aware that something like this could happen if the rain didn't dampen.
"The community is in good spirits as this happens most of the time when it rains heavily," she said.

Kathy said it was harder on her children who couldn't get to school.
"It is upsetting as my daughter had a camp this week which she could not go to and all four kids have missed school for the past two days," she said.
But it isn't just the young ones who have been missing out on vital needs.
"Some of the older generation are finding it hard as they need medication and can't get out to get it," she said.
Currently Bells Line of Road is closed in both directions between Darling Causeway and Berambing Crescent due to a landslip that's brought down several large trees.
