Just a week ago it would have been a much different sight with grass standing tall, covering the park benches and the perfect nesting area for snakes.
With hot weather around the corner, it wasn't ideal and people were starting to talk and point fingers to Lithgow Council on social media.
This was mainly because Council had mowed certain strips of the park to allow for safe access to walkers, but they never took their mowers over the whole area.
The Facebook post caught the attention of Cr Steve Ring who inquired with Council to find that they were in fact not responsible for the upkeep of the park.
Cr Ring said it was disappointing to see the condition of the park and he would be speaking with the local member on behalf of a number of residents.

"The message it sends to some of our residents is that they don't count but everyone in our community counts," he said.
The Lithgow Mercury reached out to NSW Land and Housing Corporation to get to the bottom of the matter.
This was their response:
'Emora Park is owned and serviced by the Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC).
'The servicing schedules for Emora Park were reduced to four services per year during the recent period of drought. Previously the service schedule was 7 - 10 per year, based on need, and will be returning to that frequency moving forward.
The next service (mow/slash) is scheduled to be completed before 25 December 2020, weather permitting.'
It seems that with a bit of media attention they've heard our calls, with Emora Park looking much more tidier.
