The resident or visitor won the jackpot prize of $1,540,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10425, drawn this morning.
The ticket is unregistered so officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the news and must wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
The life-changing entry was purchased at Trinity News & Gifts at the Trinity Heights Shopping Centre and owner Sharon Bryon said she couldn't believe one of their customers was suddenly $1.5 million richer.
"I had tears in my eyes just now when I read we'd sold the winning ticket," she said.
"I am so excited for whoever our winner may be. I can't believe it!
"I'm sure the word will spread very quickly in the community and we will have plenty of people checking their tickets!"
