After being cancelled due to the COVID-19 shutdown the final of the Blue Mountains Golf Association senior pennant tournament was finally played with the Lithgow team again taking out the honours and continuing their long dominance that has stretched over many decades.

The Coote Shield final was played at the Wentworth Falls course with Lithgow and Leura being the combatants. It was a tight match with Lithgow getting up three rubbers to two.
The team that represented their club during the year consisted of captain Andrew Burton, Steve Hall, Harry Bender, John Chadwick, Travis Cameron and Justin Nelson.
The quality of this side can be seen by the fact that the total of the six players' handicaps adds up to only eight.
Congratulations from the Lithgow board and members were extended to the team on their efforts and thanks to Henry's Plant and Equipment Hire Pty Ltd for sponsoring both the club's two pennant sides.
On Saturday, August 8 a two ball best ball was played at the Lithgow Club attracting another good field, especially considering the heavy rain that fell during Friday and early Saturday morning.
The fairways were extremely soggy offering no run whatsoever and the water made for some tough lies.
The winner of the two ball was the team of Justin McCann playing off a handicap of three and Greg Giblett off 11.
The latter returned the best stableford score of the day with 39 points.Runners up were two low markers in Brock Egan (4) and Gary Wallace (5) with Wallace coming off a win last week.
They finished with a combined score of 45 points.
A single event for the best scratch score was held in conjunction and that went to Andrew Burton with a 74.
It has been another good 12 months for Burton after defending his club championship title, leading the senior pennant side to a win and picking up a number of Open titles.
Vouchers to those teams who played well went down to 39 points on a countback and they were Michael Bennett and Dave Thompson, Dave Titcume and Paul Bailey, Anthony Oldfield and Lleyton Guest, Max Nightingale and John Chadwick, Jeff Geddes and John Bird and Peter Thompson and Bill Oldfield.
Nearest the pins went to Pat Wall, Johnathan Van Veen, Dave Titcume, Peter Thompson and John Chadwick.
Next week's event will be the Keno two person ambrose and also a single stableford held in conjunction.
The winner of the Wednesday, August 5 nine hole competition was Lleyton Guest on 23 points.
Runner up was Rob Peachman 19 ocb, third was John Griffiths 19 ocb and fourth was Peter Williams 19.
Vouchers went to Kev Hughes, Paul Bosman, Paul Stewart, Heath Egan, Rob Ritchie, Brian Quick and Mark Willmott.
The winner of the Friday, August 7 nine hole competition was Dave Duroux on 16 points.
