All members of the Workmen's Valley Women's Bowling Club have been saddened by the passing of three valued members over the past three months, Heather Cox, Margaret Lang and Hazel Johnson.

Heather and Margaret being life members and Hazel was the Patron for many years.
Over the past 20 years or more these ladies had all been great bowlers representing our club in Western District events and Pennant teams.
Margaret was a great mentor for all new members and she has won the Major Singles on four occasions, skipped Pennant Teams and won numerous club and district events. In all, very popular and loved members.
A minute silence was held for the three ladies at the last General Meeting.
Due to the easing COVID-19 restrictions members are now glad to be back on the greens and hosting the Western District Pairs Championship.
The club competitions will commence on September 2 with the Major Singles Championship between Judy Kennedy and Sue Metcalf to be finalised on September 4, followed by Club Pairs and Minor championships to begin later on.
