Majority of the squad has come form Lithgow Junior Storm's U16s team who took out the grand final title in their competition last year.
This year is looking promising to back up their title as they take part in the Western Rams U18s Youth League competition.
Workies Wolves president Anthony Brown said the squad were excited to get into the competition.
"The coaches have big raps on their playing group who have been training since July 2.
"With not much preparation time we still think they will give this comp a shake," he said.
The teams the boys will be up against include Orange Hawks, Orange CYMS, Cowra Magpies, Canowindra Tigers, Bathurst St Pats, Bathurst Panthers, Forbes Magpies, Parkes Spacemen, Mudgee Dragons, Wellington Cowboys, Dubbo Macquarie and Dubbo Cyms.
Brown said the draw will be split into three pools consisting of Eastern (five Group 10 teams), Northern (four teams) and Southern (four teams).
"The Eastern Pool is where Lithgow Workies will play and they are up against Bathurst St Pats, Bathurst Panthers, Orange Hawkes and Orange Cyms."
It will be an eight round competition starting on July 18 and a three week final series which finishes up September 27," according to Brown.
"The final series will be a combined top eight sides from the respective pools.
"The top two teams from each pool advance, and the two highest ranked third placed teams will also advance to make the top eight, then the final series are to be played on neutral grounds," he said.
He said with Covid-19 restrictions still applying, players, parents and spectators will have to comply.
"All club's have strict Covid-19 Safety and Management plans at training and on game day," he said.
Brown urged spectators to head down to 'The House of the Wolf Pack', also known as Tony Luchetti Showground, on Saturday at 11.30am to watch the boys take on Orange Hawkes.
"They also have another home game on Saturday, July 25 at 3pm against Orange Cyms at 3pm.
"It will be great just to see the boys running around playing the game they love, even it being a shortened season," he said.
