After several weeks of limited numbers, a relaxing of the rules has seen the numbers increase.
The singles championships are up the semi-final stage. In the latest games Ian McMillan was all over Jody Taggart when he got away to a great start putting Taggart under pressure from the first end. McMillan was in form while the layoff never helped Taggart as hewent down 31-6.
This sets up McMillan against Peter Piggott in one semi.
Steve Jackson took on the giant killer Peter Williams and after a close game Jackson came out on top 31-21. This sees Jackson take on Craig Pugsley in the other semi. Some close games are expected as all four bowlers are former major singles winners.
In the social bowls Bruce Robinson and Craig Brown lead Barry Jackson and Dave Nunan 8-6 after 10 ends but then they raced away to win 27-9.
Ross Harrington and Vee Brown made all the running early as they lead Peter Piggott and Curtis Brown 12-2 after 6 ends but then held on to win 24-17.

Ian McMillan continued his good form as he and Bazza Keygan did a number on Mike McNamara and Al Davies. McMillan and Keygan lead 20-6 before running out 29-16 winners.
The game between Jason Nunan and Kim Alexander against Greg Anderson and Des Francis was a good game as first one team and then the other lead but at the finish it was Nunan in front 24-18.
With the pennant season cancelled it now gives our bowlers every opportunity to complete their championship games.
The minor singles are on the board so please play them before the play or forfeits start.
