During the month of May a nine hole competition was held for those interested and playing numbers were good.
On June, 3 a stableford event was held for a trophy donated by Olwyn King, the winner of the day was Jennifer Wild, who continued her good form from the nine hole events. As nearest the pin events are not permitted at present (a directive from Golf NSW) the ladies are doing a draw from the cards each Wednesday for a ball. Nearest the pin events are sponsored by Neville Kerrison.
On Friday, June 5 the usual nine holes competition was played and again Jennifer Wild was the winner in First Division with 20 points while Julie Murnane (who was also in good form over the lockdown) won second Division, also with 20 points.
Wednesday, June 10 saw a good field contest the three person event with trophies donated by Pat Livermore, Judy Charman and Patty Aidulis.
The winners with 43 points on a count back were Janice Cohen, Rhonda Thompson and Fran Le Fevre. Second place went to Carol Osborne, Narelle Potts and Jennifer Wild. Nearest the Pin draw was Di McGuire.
Friday, June 12 the nine holes stableford was won by Judi Moore with a great score of 22 points.
This week the event is a stroke, monthly medals and third round of the Golf NSW medal. Next week is a novelty event players only use three sticks and a putter for their round.
Dates are being sought to re-schedule the Mixed Foursomes Championships, sponsored by LJ Hooker, which were to be held in early May however due to the course being closed for March and April there was no time to arrange the Foursomes prior to the course re-opening and play allowed to start up again at the end of April.
The golfers should again thank Lithgow Council and Paul Toole for his assistance in lobbying the Government Department of Health for permission to re-open the course.
