Thanks to the generosity of local residents, Lithgow City mayor Cr Ray Thompson, deputizing as Santa's Little Helper for the day, was able to deliver a gift to each and every resident of Three Tree Lodge, Lithgow Aged Care - Cooinda and Tanderra, and Tabulam Cottages.

The Mayor's Christmas Appeal is an opportunity for the community to donate a small gift to elderly residents who are in aged care facilities across the LGA.
"I love the opportunity to remind our older residents that they are a treasured and valued part of our community," Cr Thompson said.

Over 170 gifts were donated during the last month and were handed out to residents on Thursday, December 19.
"I appreciate the generosity of our community, even at times like this when people are doing it tough through the drought and fires.
"These gifts will make a big difference to the enjoyment of Christmas by the residents of our aged care facilities," Cr Thompson said.
