Swimmers from all across the region came together at Lithgow's JM Robson Aquatic Centre for the annual Twilight Swimming Carnival on Saturday, December 7.

Approximately 180 swimmers participated with 37 from Lithgow Swimming Club.
The event kicked off at 11.30am and continued through the day until 6pm, with competitors taking part in a range of age categories, from under 8's to opens.
Lithgow Swimming Club head coach Craig McMannus said many people had travelled from Sydney to participate.
There were various events from 25 meter races for the under 8's to 400 meter swims for older competitors.
"The carnival was a chance for swimmers to attain qualifying times for country and state championships to be held later in the Summer," he said.
More than 90 personal best times were achieved from the Lithgow Swimming squad.
Alex Evans won the event for the boys 12 and under age category and Alicia Connor was also in the prize money for the girls 13 and over event.
Evans also achieved six personal best times (PB's) from eight swims.
Other outstanding performers included:
- Laken Crook who achieved 5 PB's from five swims.
- Caleb Houlison- Five PB's from five swims.
- Sam Doran: Five PB's from seven swims
- Yasmin Turner: Seven PB's from nine swims.
There was a Dash for Cash event sponsored by Energy Australia which saw seven Lithgow swimmers among the final qualifiers.
Training will resume in the new year in preparation for school carnivals and swim meets.
