The event was sponsored by the Zig Zag Motel and a big thanks goes out to them and to all the other sponsors that have supported golf in 2019.
The greens were in pristine condition and scoring was superb for the Summer Cup with the best scratch score going to Justin Nelson with a three under par 69.
It has been a good couple of weeks for Nelson having also captured the Short Course title a week ago.
The best overall handicap title went to Garry Keen with a great 65 nett. The grade winners were as follows in the scratch, handicap winner and runner up sequence;
- A grade: Andrew Burton 70, Ian Downey 69 nett and John Bird 71 nett.
- B grade: Don Wolfenden 81, Ross Harrington 66 nett and Steve Mays 67 nett.
- C grade: Ben Futcher 90 ocb, Riley Allan 66 nett and Tom Jennings 67 nett.
Nearest to the pin vouchers: Ian Downey (2), Mick Bennett, Ross Harrington and Peter Thompson.
Those who played well and won vouchers were: John Griffiths, Dave Muir, Robbie Millar, Dave Hicks, Bill Oldfield, Frank Mantle, Dave Titcume and Garry Marshall. Vouchers cut out on 72 nett neat.

Wednesday, December 11 nine hole competition winner was Ken Durie 24 ocb with runner up Dave Muir, 24. Nearest to the pins were Michael Bennett and Rick Cohen. Vouchers cut out on 23 ocb.
Friday, December 13 nine hole competition winner was Dave Thompson on 27 points. Runner up was Don Farnsworth 26 points. Vouchers cut out on 23 points ocb. Nearest the pin was Don Farnsworth.
Next Saturday's event will be a stableford which will be welcome relief for some after a number of stroke events.
