Lithgow's annual White Ribbon walk has been postponed after the charity organisation announced its company had gone into liquidation.

Event organiser, Lithgow Police Sergeant and Lithgow City Councillor Darryl Goodwin, said at the recent council meeting the event would be postponed until they could decide the banner under which the walk would go ahead.
"With the Traffic Authority Local Committee, we decided it would be better to postpone the walk," Cr Goodwin said.
The walk was originally set to take place on Friday, November 22.
The White Ribbon Australia organisation, established to prevent violence against women, announced they had gone into liquidation on Thursday, October 3.

The organisation announced its end after an "analysis of the organisation's future sustainability", an online statement read.
The Lithgow walk would normally see emergency services including police, fire and ambulance as well as residents walk Main Street.
"This is all about men's violence against women and showing that we all support women in our community," Cr Goodwin said at last years event.
