The two things will be found together at Club Lithgow starting this Thursday, October 17 as the Lithgow Theatre Group stages its latest production.
Agatha Crusty and the Village Hall Murders by Derrick Webb showcases the classic murder mystery plot, with some very interesting twists along the way.
Judy Riley, who will be playing the lead role of Agatha Crusty ("that's Croosty") said there was plenty on offer for lovers of a good mystery.
"It's a funny dialogue-driven play," she said.
"Anyone who likes a good who-dunnit murder mystery will enjoy this one."
Cast with a group of hilarious country characters set in a English village, the plot will get you laughing and wondering who could be behind the foul deed.
The cast features some well known local talents including Ross Yates as the top investigator Twig, Kylie Pearce as the intimidating Eleanor, Bernie O'Regan as local gentry Oliver, Jayson Wilkinson as PC Lockett, Paul Meverley as the local cleaner, Beth McGovern as Mandy, as well a few new performers, including Naomi Morrow and Eli George in their very first Theatre Group production.
Directed by Greer Ashworth, the play will be performed at 8pm on Thursday and Friday, October 17 and 18, and Friday and Saturday night, October 25 and 26.
Tickets are available at Club Lithgow or at the door from 7pm on performance nights.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for concession.
