The cost for renewal on the South Coast was between $700 and $943, which I could not afford.
I ask the question why was it so expensive and the reply in both cases was the cost of the lens so I ask another question because I was getting desperate - can these lenses in my broken frame glasses be inserted into a new frame? And the answer was no.
I visited my brother at Lithgow in August last year where my brother and I so cleverly super glued my frame to the lens which completely wrecked the glasses so off I went to find an optometrist in Lithgow and I found Warren at Lithgow Optical.
While Warren tried to clean the super glue off the lens [but that] was useless so he suggested I stay in Lithgow and he would order me a new set of lenses for cost price, which was only $100. I agreed immediately. Off I went back home with glasses that were fixed by Warren.
I visited my brother again in Lithgow August this year where my glasses were broken again. So I went straight back to see Warren at Lithgow Optical where I asked him if he could put my lens which I got off him last year into a new frame - could not believe my ears he said yes.
Warren found a beautiful frame and cut the lens to suit and I was out of there in 15 minutes
So the cost of my glasses was $150. Thank you, Warren.
