The game finished in a 1-all draw at full time and neither team scored in extra time so it went to sudden death. Having to determine a winner it went to one on one's but La Salle was unable to score and Wollongong managed to put in a goal to take the win.
Before the semi-final the girls played four round games, which they managed to get through undefeated.
"It was a great feeling to not concede any goals," player Bailee Staines said.
As the team took wins, including 4-0 and 5-0 margins, reports from staff during the competition said the girls were playing extremely well.
"Our semi was against Wollongong and we lost in a shoot out during the drop offs, when we only had five players on the field, and even then we lost another player so it was five on four in extra time," Staines said.
It was the team's third time away together as a school squad. Many of them play together on Saturdays.
Player Ashley Luka said they played extremely well against Wollongong, which had two Australian representative players.
"We worked out their plays and matched them, we worked quite strongly as a team and just clicked and lifted our game," she said.
"We were the better team, it was just an unlucky position to be in."
The girls said they had fun during the three days away.
"We really learnt to play in the whistle," player Brenna Croker said.
The girls said they wanted to thank their teachers, coaches and parents who came and watched.
"It was a really amazing experience, and we really felt the school's support during our matches," Croker said.
The team was made up of Shakaya Bott, Alysha Connor, Brenna Croker, Grace Dean, Ashley Luka, Isabella Luka, Chelsea Marshall, Elissa Marshall, Rylee Millar, Darcie Rushworth, Bailee Staines, Mackenzie Stewart and Germaine Welch.
