The event was once again sponsored by Neville Kerrison and the golfers express sincere thanks to Neville for his continued sponsorship.
The course is playing extremely difficult at present with not a lot of grass on the fairways and pin positions sometimes proving very testing.
With that said the event was played in sunny but cold conditions.
The 36 holes scratch winners were Judy Charman and Lynne Ritchie 183 while the runners-up were Sue Brooks and Judi Moore.
For the 36 holes handicap event the positions were reversed with Sue Brooks and Judy Moore taking the handicap prize by one stroke from Charman and Ritchie.
There is a two trophy limit for this event so the eventual winners of the first 18 holes event were by Patty Aidulis and Margaret Cafe and the for the second 18 holes, the two Pats, Livermore and Beljon.
The next major event for the Ladies is the Club Championships beginning on September 11. The Championships are again being sponsored by Lithgow Valley Kia.
Names should be entered as soon as possible so the Committee is able to finalise the event.
The Ladies' Annual General Meeting is coming up on September 25. President J Moore, vice president Anne Doohan and treasurer Di McGuire have completed their terms of office so the committee is looking for new recruits.
Just a reminder to players that on competition days fees must be paid and cards entered by 9.20am for a draw to be completed in order to tee off at 9.30am.
