Lithgow Oberon Landcare Association along with the Lithgow City Council is set to hold a series of surveys and community workshops during 2019 called 'What do you want from landcare?'.

The workshops will allow participants to have a greater understanding of what landcare is and how it works, according to Lithgow Oberon Landcare coordinator Richard Stephens.
"The workshops and surveys will help us to understand what type of people think Landcare is all about and identify what people want Landcare to look like in the local area," he said.
He said it would also provide a framework to increase volunteer participation in local Landcare activities.

"It will develop Landcare priorities for the next five to 10 years that are directly relevant to our local communities and enable collaboration with individual Landcare groups across the region," he said.
Workshop times and locations:
- Tuesday, August 13 at the Coronation Hotel in Portland from 2-4pm
- Wednesday, August 21 at the Tarana Hotel from 5.30-7.30pm.
- Thursday, August 29 at the Halfway Hotel on Jenolan Caves Rd from 5.30-7.30pm.
- Wednesday, September 4 at Oberon RSL Club from 5.30-7.30pm.
- Tuesday, September 10 at Secret Creek Cafe in Lithgow from 5.30-7-30pm.
