The hockey duo were given the chance to trial for the NSWCCC hockey squad in Moorebank on Monday, March 25 after displaying fine finesse and determination at a previous trial for the U16s Diocesan hockey squad in Bathurst.
The girls both said they felt nervous as they headed into the NSWCCC trials, but looked forward to the catch up with old friends.
"I didn't think we would have made it this far, but we have been training and I think we were prepared, and it's good to see friends from other teams," Bott said.
Marshall said they had been training within their club teams outside of school and also playing the pre-season hockey competition in terms of preparation.
"We were prepared going into it and now we just hope for the best," she said.
If the duo make the NSWCCC they will have the chance to trial for the NSW All Schools team.
"If we make the NSW All School team we go to Queensland and then we eventually might get the chance to try out for the Australian All Schools girls team," Bott said.
"It would be pretty cool to make it that far and I'd be pretty proud," Marshall said.
