Local professional MMA fighter Blake 'Randy Roy' Sheppeard continued his fine form in the cage at one of Australia's largest promotions, Eternal MMA in Perth at HBF Stadium on Saturday, March 2.

Sheppeard was matched against Perth local Dishon Ravindran, who has an impressive fight record of five wins and only two losses.
The first round saw both fighters testing each others skill set, according to Sheppeard's coach and Thrive MMA owner Paul Traish.
"Both were exchanging heavy leg kicks with Sheppeard landing some fearsome body shots, Ravindran made several attempts to put Blake on the canvas however his takedown defence was too strong," he said.
Traish also said when breaking from the clinch, Sheppeard was able to land hard elbow strikes on several occasions and the bell rang on what was a fairly even round.
Round two started and both fighters circled each other waiting for the right time to strike when Sheppeard landed an overhand right flush on Ravindran's chin.
The strikes caused the Perth fighter to lose his footing which led Sheppeard to victory, ending his last appearance 16 seconds via TKO (technical knockout).
The win has moved Sheppeard into 37th position in the Australian/New Zealand Professional Welterweight ranking.
Sheppeard said the fight went well and he had changed a lot leading into the event.
"I changed a lot for that fight camp and probably started a bit slow, but I felt comfortable the whole fight," he said.
He also said he still had a lot of work to do but he was slowly gaining his confidence back each fight.
Sheppeard was also fortunate enough to have a support crew over in Perth for the fight.
"I had some friends and family fly over plus I had some family over there already. Having everyone there made a massive difference for me, considering I was fighting the hometown boy," he said.
He also wanted to thank his coaches for the work they put into getting him prepared for the fight and his sponsors for their continued support.
Sheppeard has gone back into fight camp and in preparation to jet to Adelaide on April 5, to upset another local fighter in the Eternal promotion, along with coach Traish who will also be fighting on the night.
