Organiser Leanne Walding said the event was about bringing like minded people together to show community spirit.
The main message of the event was about tackling loneliness and how to combat the challenges that come with that.
"So say hello and talk to someone you don't know and find out how they are," she said.
Virginia Field also addressed the crowd to speak about the REACH mental health program which will run at Lithgow and Information Neighbourhood Centre during May and June for a nine week fixed term.
The next Walk 'n' Talk event will take place at the Portland Foundations on Sunday, April 14.
