The man and woman, both aged 76, were taken to Lithgow Hospital for treatment. The incident occurred at about 7.45am.
Lucky escape
A truck and car had a brush with disaster at Marrangaroo on at 3.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.
Two ambulances were sent to the site after there were reports that a car and a truck had collided. Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction and the impact was on the side.
All people involved in the crash declined medical treatment.
