The pairing was the only local team to make it through to the semi-final, which was contested by teams from Mudgee and Millthorpe, Gulgong.
Blonda and Turner were knocked out in the semis by the Millthorpe team of Wayne Eason and John Adams, who went on to contest the final. The Mudgee team was too strong, with Kurtz and McDonald taking home the Zone 4 Presidents Pairs Section 3 title.
