Two of the most consistent Lithgow golfers over the past month or so has been Bill Oldfield and Tallon Egan with the pair continuing their magnificent run of form when both took out the major titles during the weekends Zig Zag Motel Cup.

Oldfield has been the standout scratch golfer over many weeks having continually shot under par rounds.
He took the Cup scratch title with another under par round of 71 on a countback from his younger brother Tony.
The best nett score went to outstanding junior Tallon Egan who has been rarely out of the winners circle over the past months.
Egan also had to survive a countback to take the title after he and Dean Stafford returned 65 nett.
The grade handicap, runners up and scratch winners in order were: (Egan and Oldfield were not eligible).
A grade: Tony Oldfield 66 nett, Greg Hunter 68 nett and Justin McCann 72.
B grade: Dean Stafford 65 nett, Dave Hicks 66 and Greg Guest 81.
C grade: Alex Dengate 68 nett, Paul Bailey 72 nett and Rob George 91.
Nearest the pin were Rob Hawes, Harry Bender, Justin McCann, Justin Nelson and Dean Stafford.
Balls cut out on 72 ocb.
Age Championships:
The 2019 Centennial Coal Age Championships were held over the past two Saturdays with golfers taking on opponents in their own age decades:
Winners in scratch and handicap sequence were:
- Under 19: Tallon Egan 137 nett and Ben Oldfield 168.
- 20 years to 29: Greg Jackson 143 nett and Dean Stafford 163.
- 30 years to 39: Justin Nelson 142 nett and Justin McCann 145.
- 40 years to 49: Kyle Egan 143 nett and Tony Oldfield 145.
- 50 years to 59: Greg Guest 134 nett and Bill Oldfield 140.
- 60 years to 69: Geoff Wheeler 136 nett and Don Lovett 166.
- 70 plus years: Jeff Geddes 144 nett and Dave Titcume 163.
