A total of 45 friends from the Catholic parishes and wider community of Lithgow attended. Fine food and conversation were the focal points of the night.
Sister Christina, a Sister of Mercy, came to the Lithgow to take up the position of Catholic Chaplin at Lithgow and Kirkconnell Correctional Centres in 1999 from Melbourne.

Father Gary McKeon and Stan Williams gave an interesting farewell message of friendship and service Sister Christina formed while residing in Lithgow. Sister Mary Kearns from Goulburn added a little humour to the night with an appropriate joke.
Pat Okon presented Sister Christina with a gift of a beautiful hand bag with a scarf to match.
Sister Christina was invited to cut her farewell with a family friend of 35 years, Trish Smith, the cake was made and decorated by Margaret Hickie.
