Another medal haul for the young athlete saw four national medals added to his collection, including a new Australian record.
Clues competed in the boys’ 12 year old medley relay consisting of sprints of 100 metres, 200 metres, another 200, followed by 300 metres.
The NSW team came away with gold and a new record.
Clues said he was expecting to come home with something, but this was beyond his expectations.
“I was only expecting to win three [medals] because that's how many I won last year, but surprisingly I got four and we managed to break the record,” he said.

Clues’ parents Sally-Anne and Douglas Clues said he had been training hard with his sprinting after getting through to the finals of the NSW State Championships in the 100 and 200 metres.
“He was primed for a very quick race, and it was a very proud moment for us,” they said.
Clues was also presented with a certificate for achieving the new Australian record and said he felt honoured to represent his school.
“It was awesome because we broke it [the record] and it doesn’t get much better than that and I was the only one from Lithgow Public and I feel like I did them proud,” he said.
He also received a silver medal in the boys’ 12 year old discus after he threw 49.77 metres, a personal best.
He was under pressure to run his 100 metre sprint for the combination event in the middle of the discus event.
He managed to lock in a silver medal in the combined event known as the tetrathlon.
Clues competed in the 100 metres, shot put, long jump and 800 metres, where he earned 1469 points only three points away from first place.
He also ran a personal best time in the 800 metre event.
He came away with a bronze in the boys’ 12 year old shot put with a throw of 14.51 metres.
Mr and Mrs Clues said Angus had been placed under incredible pressure but that was to be expected being an all-rounder.
Overall Clues said he loved his sports and he would continue it throughout high school.
“I will be attending a sporting school in Seven Hills where I’ll play rugby league,” he said.
