A 16-year-old bush walker taking part in a planned five day hike had collapsed with a seizure and a family member hiking with her activated the PLB.
Police Rescue reports the ambulance rescue helicopter was quickly able to hone in in the PLB's location and the girl was winched to safety. She was flown to Westmead Hospital to undergo further testing.
It was the crew’s second rescue in less than a week, with a rock climber rescued over the weekend after a fall.
