The big news is that funds raised from garden entry this year will go to drought affected farmers in the Lithgow district.
These hardy bulbs are getting ready to greet people on the weekends of September 8-9 and 15-16 for the Daffodils at Rydal festival.
The gardens will be open from 10am to 4pm and the barbecue will be going all day. There will also be tea, coffee, cakes and scones.
As well as the gardens there are plenty of other activities to see and enjoy. Different music groups are coming and there will even flamenco dancing and a pipe band.
The late Antony Symons, creator of the Lithgow Flash, will be honoured with various sculptures in Pioneers Park and artists have submitted paintings for sale which will be on display at Silver Birches, the house beside the Rydal Pub.

When you come to the village, go to the information centre on the Rydal Railway Station where you can pay your entry and get detailed information about which gardens are open, what time and where the entertainment will take place.
The entry fee, $10, takes you to all the gardens and events and since 2002 Rydal has donated $181,576.00 to charities in the Lithgow district.
