Denis will be the guest speaker at the 2018 Yvonne Jenkins Memorial Award presentation on Saturday, August 18. The award will be presented to the winner of the annual essay competition, the title of which is ‘A Favourite Family Heirloom I have or would like to have’.
Denis has chosen ‘War Torn Gifts’ as the topic for his talk, no doubt drawing on his long association with servicemen and women.
The presentation will be held at the Lithgow and District Family History Society’s Resource Centre, 43 Tank Street, Lithgow commencing at 2pm. Afternoon tea will be served afterwards.
