The topic of the essay for the 2018 Yvonne Jenkins Memorial Award is ‘A Favourite Family Heirloom I have or would like to have’.
Each year the Lithgow & District Family History Society hosts the award in honour of the Society’s convenor, Yvonne Jenkins OAM, who herself was a family historian and author of several books.

Do you have a favourite heirloom or one that you can tell a story about? Maybe that heirloom is in the custody of another family member? Maybe the heirloom no longer exists, but the story can still be told.
Essays of less than 1000 words must be submitted to the Society by April 30 and the winning entry will be announced on Saturday, August 18.
