The $4500 grant will be used to install a double carport sized cover over an existing paved area.
Capertee Progress Association Vice President Judy Eckersley said the paved area was currently only able to be used in the early morning or late afternoon.
“This area is in desperate need of cover as it’s the ideal place to set up a barbecue facility - which could even be used for further fundraising to see other enhancements and programs come to reality,” she said.
“We are very grateful for the funding and look forward to seeing the project completed.”

Bathurst MP Mr Toole said he was so pleased to deliver the news to a very hard working group of volunteers.
“One of the greatest parts of my job is helping people like the Capertee Progress Association grow some of the more remote towns and villages within the Bathurst Electorate,” he said.
“The cover over the barbecue area means that this space can be fully utilised, especially during the hot summer months or in the case of inclement weather.”
