After studying and playing basketball at Newington College in Sydney with successful basketball coach Rex Nottage, Goodwin is excited to be back in Lithgow.
“It’s good to be back and playing with the Lazers and having my friends and family watching me for my last season in Lithgow,” he said.

Goodwin isn’t getting ahead of himself. He said he wants to take it as it comes.
“It would be nice to make a living out of basketball but it’s not for everyone, so I’ll just see where it goes,” he said.
When it comes to the Lazers’ season, Goodwin is hopeful for the year ahead.
“We could win the championship, we have the talent to do so, like we have all the pieces to win it, we just have to put it all together,” Goodwin said.
Goodwin said that sport is something he loves and getting to play basketball and get a degree at the same time will set him up for life.
