The eight week program will enable participants of all abilities to learn basketball in a structured, inclusive and safe environment while developing physical fitness, social skills and an understanding of the sport.
Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia’s official junior game development program for children aged between five and 10 years.
“The Vicinity Centres’ Aussie Hoops program has been re-designed to meet the demands of young participants who simply want to have a go and have fun,” chair of directors Richard Marjoram said.

The program will be delivered on Tuesday’s from 4pm commencing on February 27 and will span across term one and two.
“Each session promises to be jam packed with fun and we are looking forward to welcoming new and returning participants to the program,” Aussie Hoops coordinator Adam Marjoram said.
New participants will receive a reversible singlet, a ball and back pack and costs $85. Returning participants cost $55.
Lithgow and District Basketball Association will be holding its annual general meeting on Friday, March 23 at Barton Street Stadium.
