A host of Toyota representatives turned out to present the beautiful crystal statue, which will have pride of place in the dealership’s sales foyer.
The award was part of Lean & Bennett’s trifecta, also taking out Toyota Rural Dealer of the Year and the top gong for finance.
Dealership principal Rhys Bennett described the President’s Award win as “the most important day in Lean & Bennett’s 55-year history”.
“It’s been a personal goal of mine for over 25 years, to be recognised as having one of the best run Toyota dealerships in Australia,” he said.

Representing Toyota Australia, Tony Cramb said the President's Award was the pinnacle of awards you can win at Toyota and Lean & Bennett had joined a very select club of only 15 dealers nationally to have won it.
“To be the President’s Award winner, it’s not good enough to be good at sales, or to be good at service, or to be good at parts, or to be good at finance, or to be good at accounts… individually. You have to be good at all of those things together,” he said.
“Only dealers that have a really well balanced, sustainable business can achieve it.”
